Colin’s new album, “Here and There” is a collection of original songs that range from slow blues to traditional country, jazz to Spanish folkloric. Acclaimed guitarist David Pulkingham produced and played on the album, which features bassist Glenn Fukunaga, drummer Michael Longoria, pedal steel whiz Bob Hoffnar, pianist Eddie Hozibal, fiddler Carrie Rodriguez, and accordionist Michael Ramos. Austin Chronicle Music Editor Kevin Curtin described the musicians on the album as “astonishingly A-list” and it shows up in the recordings!
In 2019, Colin released From Austin, With Love, an album of songs written by his favorite Austin musicians. Produced by David Pulkingham (Patty Griffin, Alejandro Escovedo), the album re-interprets classics and lesser-known songs, weaving Colin’s voice with David’s guitar. The album features Glenn Fukunaga on bass, Bobby Trimble on drums, Bob Hoffnar on pedal steel guitar, with Cynthia Sleight on backup vocals, and Shinyribs´frontman Kevin Russell playing mandolin on ¨What Passes for Love.¨.
In 2017, Colin released Heart Shaped Rock under the band name Brass Buckle. Featuring eight original songs and four covers, the album was influenced by Waylon Jennings´mid-70s sound.
